Meet Bobo

Ages 3–7

Bobo is a four-year-old panda cub with sparkly eyes and a thousand questions. You'll usually find him in his yellow T-shirt and blue shorts, wondering how things work: why the water won't go down, why the lights won't turn on, why the air is blowing warm, and how an airplane stays safe way up in the blue.

When something in the house goes wrong, Bobo is always eager to help, and the pros always find a safe job for him. He becomes Paul's, Ethan's and Hank's Flashlight Helper and Angie's Checklist Helper, shining the light or ticking picture boxes while the trained grown-ups do the real work.

In every book, Bobo learns that some jobs are for pros, and he learns to stay safely back while they work. By the end of each visit he's dreaming big about what he might be when he grows up.

Fun facts about Bobo

He puts on his little red tool belt when it's time to be a helper.
His favorite helper job is holding the flashlight and shining it where the pro needs to see.
At Angie's hangar he carries a picture checklist and ticks off tires, wings and windows.
He stays a safe step back: no paws in the toilet, no touching panels, gauges or airplane parts.
His favorite toy is Umbe, a tiny orange-suited diver panda named for his hero, Umberto the Underwater Welder.
He hugs his stuffed wrench when he's worried.
